At the start of this month, for my birthday, I headed to the
Hollister Independence Rally and took a bunch of
Pictures and a few
Movies.

While there I picked up a new
Bag/Backpack for use on my bike. It was discounted ($140) for the event. For once I found a back pack that works well with a large leather jacket. But this bag was designed for motorcycles, and has a pocket for fitting over the sissy bar when not being worn. It has a lot of side pockets perfect for electronics, an organizer section for pens/papers/etc, that includes a pocket that perfectly fits my
Tungsten C. This bag has already come in handy a good number of times and in my opinion has already paid for itself. Fully expanded, it has a capacity of 2 cubic foot, and measures 20” height x 14” width x 10” deep. This can fully fill the passenger seat on my bike and become a back rest, or hang slightly off the rear carrier (which is not recommended by the manufacturer).
Last night I went to an outdoor theater at Alameda Point. They were showing the movie
Robots. It was fun, but mostly kid oriented. Still, watching a movie on a big inflatable screen, while laying on the grass of the baseball field was something interesting to do. Admission was free, and an Alameda youth organization was providing snacks at decent prices. They provided popcorn, soda, cotton candy, hotdogs, and other food items for $1 each. They also had pizza from
Little Ceasars for $2 a slice.
Christine packed my new bag with a blanket, pillow, food, and some coffee. All fit in the new bag, after fully expanding it.
Today I am headed over to the
Alameda Art & Wine Faire. I will most likely not stay long as it has become very commercial and corporate in recent years, but I must at least get a glass of wine and/or beer so I can add the glass to my growing collection I started after moving to Alameda 7 years ago.
